Jay has been the voice of Diet-Pepsi, L’Oreal, Harmony Hairspray and Jammy Dodger biscuits on TV.

The station announcer’s voice for Capital/Virgin/Radio One.

Jay has read numerous audiobooks for the RNIB and Rushforth Media-The Paris Immortal series.

He has read many technical and corporate videos over the years.

He is a  contributor to Radio 4 Off The Wall show. 


Jay trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama 1969-1972.  


Born in America, he was educated in Switzerland, France and England and worked all over Europe in every field of the profession.  

He has headlined as MC/Compere with Zizi Jeanmaire at the Casino de Paris and sang and danced his way through the Rocky Horror Show, Guys and Dolls, What About Love? 


Annie Get Your Gun and Jean Seberg at The National. 


His TV appearances include Emmerdale, Canary Wharf, Maigret, Sharpe, Lexx, Brookside, Jonathan Creek and Captain Kieffer in Foyle’s War. 


Among my many film appearances are Saving Grace, Double Team, Beaumarchais, The Russia House, Aliens, Star Wars etc. and starring roles in Vicente Aranda’s Carmen (winner of 7 Goyas) and his Crusades epic, The White Knight. 


He co-wrote The Card Player for cult director, Dario Argento and the animated feature, The Fox’s Tale, starring Miranda Richardson and Bill Nighy.


His company casts voices for films, ads and computer games; the current projects are the The Borgias, the Vikings and recently Jack the Giantslayer and Le Weekend.
